Improve your core strength & stretch for recovery

COREMOBILITY is a well rounded fitness session that begins with a focus on core conditioning and concludes with a soothing and beneficial stretch

A good strong core helps make it easier to do most physical activities - weak core muscles can lead to bad posture as well as back pain and can lead to muscle injuries.

 

This class will begin with a full warm up to get the body moving, blood pumping and to turn your muscles on ready for you to focus on strengthening all things core. 

​

After the core component we will work on stretching for mobility, flexibility and recovery.

Mobility or active flexibility, is the range of motion a joint can move into without an external force helping it get there.

Different stretching techniques are used in the class such as dynamic, active and ballistic after beginning with mobility or active flexibility. We also use bands, rollers and mats as part of this class.

The benefits of practicing correct stretch techniques include:

  • Aid in recovery from other workouts;

  • May help to ease muscle pain/soreness

  • Helps to increase the range of motion in everyday activities
